Designed and engineered many first of its kind patented components for a safer, sterile, integrated surgical operating suite. Products include a retractable floor pod, surgical lights, floor lights, patient warming pad, sink trap system, RFID pass-through supply cabinets and in-the-wall trash disposal system. Whole room disinfection is achieved via a patented ozone generating and decomposing system. An integral part of a newly designed and engineered surgical suite, the floor pod, a fully retractable metal structure, contains important elements associated with the needs of surgery. The innovative design incorporates five separate faces to serve as docking stations for various equipment needed during surgery, including the anesthesia machine, endoscopy cart, microscope and ultrasound. By retracting fully into the floor when not in use, the pod eliminates clutter associated with current hospital OR plans. LED-based surgical lighting system was designed for remote-control use in the operating room. Ceiling mounted robotic heads provide shadow-free variable intensity and variable color temperature control; these lights perform like nothing currently available. An “in wall” trash disposal system was designed to accommodate residual packaging, biologics and sharps, ensuring a safer more sterile OR. The intuitive design incorporates a disposable inner liner housed within a puncture proof outer liner.
